My employer did away with the holiday club a couple years back so I decided to just do it on my own. Of course there are no incentives like I was getting, but at least I won’t be in a pinch in December or broke in January!
I decided to set up an auto transfer with my bank to have $25 a week taken out of my main account and into a separate savings account I just label as holiday club. I got quite used to and and don’t even miss it out of my check each week now. Come November or December having that decent sum in there takes a little stress out of things!
So start now! You will be thankful next season for sure!
