I know I have used the crockpot almost every night this week, please don’t judge we just have some late nights this week with sports. So as my groceries are dwindling by weeks end tomorrow I plan to make slow cooker Mississippi pot roast. Big thank you to my friend that passed this recipe along to me. It’s just easy and delicious to pass up. And honestly when I heard the word pot roast my first thought was that my kids will never eat this. Boy was I wrong, it turned out to be a family favorite. Hope you all enjoy and this is the way I make it:
- Approx 3.5-4lbs of chuck roast
- 1oz packett of ranch-I use the 50 cent one from Aldi
- 1zo packet of au ju-I’ve been using Aldi brown gravy and for under $1 its just as wonderful tasting
- 1 stick of butter, your choice of unsalted or salted. I have been using salted
- 1/2 jar peperoncini peppers-I skip this because our family didn’t like. See if yours does
- 1/4 cup peperoncini juice-I skip this because our family didn’t like. See if yours does.
With this meal I make mashed potatoes, white rice, brown rice or even serve on a hoagie! Tomorrow we will be enjoying this with Aldi 90 second basmati rice and green beans sauteed with butter and garlic. Don’t forget, get these on subscribe and save because they are just in a nutshell amazing https://amzn.to/4aDrSTC
Hope you try and enjoy!
