Tomorrow I will make some good old fashioned spaghetti and meatballs! Choose the protein you want to use. I have Nature’s Promise grass fed 90% lean ground beef in my fridge. But use what you have and like. My easy recipe for the meatballs is:
- 1lb ground beef
- 1 egg
- splash of milk
- sprinkle of garlic powder seasoning
- sprinkle of oregano seasoning
- sprinkle of onion powder seasoning
- sprinkle of Italian seasoning
- Italian seasoning bread crumb-add until mixture is no longer too wet
Mix all ingredients well, but do not over mix. Now roll in hands to form a nice round shape. Make size you prefer. I make decent sized and get about 10 meatballs from 1 lb.
Heat up your oil in a frying pan, I have olive oil in the house, that is what I will be using. Once your oil is heated up, lower to less than medium heat to avoid splashing and place your meatballs in pan. I like to get golden brown on all sides and edges. I will put in crockpot to continue cooking thru.
Use sauce of your choice. If you have homemade great, since I don’t have any right now, and will post next time I make, I will be using jarred. I have Prego Marinara right now that I had bought when ShopRite had on sale 2/$3.
I put my liner in https://amzn.to/4aEGFxl and place the meatballs in, and cook on low for approx 2 hours. Because I made pulled pork 2 days ago I have some left over that I kept in the fridge. I will put some in my blender for just a second and add that to my sauce. Don’t worry if you don’t have it. But if you ever do these do meals in the same week, try this.
20 minutes before you are ready to eat, make spaghetti.
When done drain the spaghetti and you can add right to the crockpot and mix together.
Add anything else to your liking, Parmesan cheese, spinach, mushrooms. Or anything else you have in the fridge you don’t want to waste.
Enjoy!
